PLEASE NOTE OUR TRIPS CROSS A CPB CHECKPOINT
All passengers—citizen or not—are responsible for carrying the required identification and travel documents. We do not assume responsibility for delays or actions by immigration or law enforcement authorities.
Please read our “Frequent Q&A” page for information and required documentation.
Sexual harassment, racism, discrimination, hate speech, or any form of abusive behavior toward other passengers, staff, or members of the public will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the trip without refund. I understand that disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful behavior may also result in my removal from the trip without refund.
$5 Bear Spray Rental Available:
We offer bear spray rentals for your safety on select trips; however, use is at your own risk. We do not assume responsibility for wildlife encounters, trail conditions, or personal safety while on trails or during off-van activities. Please see here for resources on wildlife safety and bear encounters.
Passenger Waivers Required:
All passengers must sign a liability waiver before boarding the van. An additional waiver is required for those renting or carrying bear spray. These waivers acknowledge your responsibility for your personal safety, compliance with laws, and use of any rental equipment during the trip.
Immigration Responsibility Waiver:
All passengers crossing from Mexico or traveling with immigration documents must sign an additional waiver acknowledging that they are solely responsible for their immigration status, documentation, and compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements. We do not assume responsibility for denied entry, border delays, or immigration-related issues.
Minors Traveling Without a Guardian (Age 16–17 Only)
Passengers aged 16 or 17 may travel without a parent or legal guardian only if a signed, written consent form is provided by their parent or legal guardian before the trip. The consent must include the minor’s full name, trip date, destination, and emergency contact information, and must authorize Valdez Southwest Travel to transport the minor. The parent or legal guardian understands that Valdez Southwest Travel is not responsible for supervising the minor outside of transportation and that the minor must follow all trip rules and instructions.
Don’t STRESS - We provide waivers for signature before departing the van.
Please see below if you wish to read, print and sign ahead of time and bring a signed waiver when boarding the van. Waivers are available in English and Spanish.
